Our Learning This Week: The students worked hard on a math problem involving the number five.  They had to share five candies between two children.  It was difficult for some students as they grappled with it not being fair.   Once they got past the injustice,  they were intrigued by all the different ways five could be broken up.  Please visit our google classroom for the actual problem on Friday if you would like to review it with your child.   We also continued to explore the zones of regulation.  The children had a lot of fun using their drama skills and facial expressions to demonstrate a wide range of emotions.  The pumpkin patch will be a fun way of consolidating their understanding of the zones. We have also been discussing peace in preparation for Remembrance Day in November.  We are currently working on a poem about how peace makes us feel.  Our school will be creating a video instead of our normal assembly.  If you have Service Photos of family members that you would like
