 Our Learning This Week:

This week we learned about the word, "unique".  We want children to value what makes individuals special, which involves celebrating our differences.  Each student drew a self-portrait on a cloth square, which was then tie-dyed.  These squares will be used to create a school-wide quilt, which celebrates the uniqueness of every person in Tuscany School.  The children also enjoyed skyping with our Blackfoot Elder Saa'kokoto.  We loved his story about a race between a bear and a turtle with the lesson of family teamwork being very important.  We also learned that laughter and tears are often the best medicine to help deal with feelings.
