  Our Learning This Week:

Building vocabulary has been a focus all year.  We have been creating weekly "vocabulary cards" that help us understand and remember important words.  When the children get older they will be using a tool called the "Frayer Model."

The children worked really hard on creating a Family Portrait.  We used Todd Parr's book, The Family Book,  as inspiration.  We noticed that he liked to use his imagination for the skin color in his illustrations.  The students had a choice to make their family portraits realistic or imaginative.

Fun SNACK!

We are very pleased to announce we have decided to extend the Kinder Fun Snack for the remainder of the year! We are aligning the Kinder Snack days with the rest of the school, although they will be held on the Thursday’s when the grade 1-5 treat days are set for Friday.

We have the following dates and snacks proposed:

March 25 - Kernels Popcorn
April 29 - Yogurt Tubes
May 27 - Kernels Popcorn
June 17 - Small Freezies

The cost to participate in the four additional Fun Snack days is $5. To have your child included in the new Kinder Fun Snack days, please fill out the form that will be sent home in your child’s backpack  (there is also one attached to this email in case those forms get misplaced
😊).

Return the form and $5 to your child’s teacher by Thursday, March 11th. Please send in the exact amount of cash (we cannot provide change), or cheque (to Tuscany School Council).
